AMU MOOCs is a Massive Open Online Course aimed at Skill and Entrepreneurial Development that enables students to become self-reliant and pursue higher income job opportunities. Courses are also designed to meet contemporary requirements to bridge the Knowledge Gap in every conceivable area of study.
Irrespective of the Academic Qualifications, Age, Gender, Nationality, Religion, Caste, and Community; every Learner can enroll and study the courses of individual choices and interest.
A learner can register for any number of courses with due consideration of time and individual learning competence.
Yes, only the Registered Learners will have access to academic curriculum of the MOOCs offered by AMU.
No. Registration is course specific. If a student wants to study more than one course, he/she needs to self-enrol for each and every course in the learning portal.
The aspirant learner needs to fill up the Registration Form available online on the website of AMU MOOCs. The following documents are mandatory to confirm student’s identification.
(1) A scanned copy of Passport size photograph needs to be uploaded
(2) A scanned copy of Government issued photo identity with Address Proof from any of the following:
For citizens of other countries than India:
Front page of the Passport issued by country of nativity OR any other Government issued Photo identity Card with Address
For Indian Citizens:
Aadhar Card or Voter Card or Front Page of Passport
There are no fees for courses at AMU MOOCs portal
Majority of the Courses are designed with the following structure:-
Registered Learner will be provided with a unique ID and password to access the Course chosen on the LMS (Learning Management System) of AMU MOOCs. The learner can log in to the LMS and study Online anytime, anywhere from an internet connected Computer, Tablet or even a mobile.
YES. Each Unit shall have a Practice Test with 10 to 20 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and a Learner can attempt the Practice Tests Three times Free to evaluate his learning progress.
YES. AMU evaluates the Learner’s Competence and the successful Learners will be awarded with Proficiency Certificates authenticated by the Rightful Authorities of University.
AMU conducts a Certification Test ‘Online’ for the students who wish to be awarded with a Certificate of Proficiency by paying a Certification Fee.
Certification Test is conducted online for duration of 2 hours with random MCQs drawn from all the Units of the Course. The number of MCQs range from a minimum of 50 to a maximum of 100 in the final test.
A nominal Certification Fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) is required to be paid by Indian Students and $20/- (Twenty US Dollars) by the International Students to cover a part of the expenditure of AMU on ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The fees are processed against the Learning Content, Online Demo Testing, Final Testing and Evaluation.
YES. If a Learner successfully completes all the modules and appears at the Final Test Online, evaluation of his performance is assessed on CBT&E (Computer Based Testing & Evaluation); and grades are awarded on performance as below:
